Ball State Sports Link
In my three years as a member of Ball State Sports Link I have produced content in all phases of sports media. Leading big and small teams of students in game coverage, broadcasts, edit bay and more. I have led broadcasts for ESPN channels as a producer, director, graphics and replay operator and hand-held camera. As a sophomore I was chosen by the Sports Link directors to work as apart of the social media leadership team in position I have held for two years and counting. Coordinating student crews to cover all Ball State sporting events from a social perspective. My peers in Sports Link have been the biggest contributors to my growth as a creative.
Videography
Coming into my freshman year I was unaware of where I wanted to take my career. But soon after getting involved in the program and shooting creative video at football games, I knew that's what I wanted to do. Over the past 3 years with help from my peers and others I have taken large steps forward in my work and am excited to continue learning and improving.
Broadcast
Due to a great high school mentor and TV program, most of my high school experience involved working in a broadcast studio. Giving me a natural transition into a director's chair with Sports Link. Click here to watch the Comm Lines of just one of the broadcasts I've directed on ESPN+.
Social Media
As mentioned above, I have been one of two social media coordinators for @bsusportslink on Instagram and Twitter for the last two years. Where my co-worker and I have built Sports Link's social media to level never before seen in the program. Not only did this involve developing our strategy with live social coverage including video highlights, score graphics and photography. But also training and coordinating student crews through hosting workshops with students to teach our formula and the technical skills to achieve our brand goal.
